You know it\u2019s cheaper to pay the whole year in bulk rather than in monthly instalments, but you don\u2019t have the money in your account to make the payment. So you take out the loan on your credit card, and pay it back over a 12 month period. Credit cards can be used to hold the deposit you put down to rent a car or stay at a hotel as they tend to hold money on it for a period of time, if this is on your debit card this leaves you without that cash for that period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s good to have the security of having a credit card on you, to make sure you won\u2019t be turned down or without cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Stoozing\"><\/span><strong>5. This means you\u2019ll get your money back if any of the following happen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The company you\u2019re buying from goes bust<\/li><li>Your order doesn\u2019t turn up<\/li><li>Your order is damaged or faulty<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t even need to pay the whole sum on your credit card \u2013 just make sure you\u2019ve used it to make some of the payment, and the rest will be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Say you\u2019re buying a car. You pay a \u00a350 deposit using your credit card, and the rest in cash. But the dealer goes bust before you get your new car. The law says your credit card company still has to refund you the <em>full<\/em> price of the car.
